Garanti Payment and Electronic Money Services Inc. received operating permit from the Central Bank of Turkey

The new company, which is ready with all product and service infrastructure and will operate under the TAMİ brand, will be offered to a specific group of customers with its beta version as of March.

„Garanti BBVA, which takes a pioneering role in the field of payment systems in Turkey with its innovative services, obtained a license from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey as of 15.02.2024 for its new subsidiary Garanti Payment and Electronic Money Services Inc., which will offer payment system infrastructure and digital payment solutions.” according to the press release.


With the services TAMİ will offer, it will be ensured that almost every business in Turkey can easily receive payments, track their payments easily, benefit from installment options for all bank cards while working with all banks, and also benefit from special campaigns.

„TAMİ will offer a completely new and entirely digital payment experience that will produce exactly the solutions desired by large enterprises. TAMİ has completed infrastructure work to develop products and services tailored to the needs of a wide range of audiences ranging from SMEs, housewives, students, and families. Customers will quickly obtain a TAMİ prepaid card just like at the POS, they will be able to easily withdraw cash with their cards or electronic wallets, send and receive money, shop, and earn cashback from the campaigns they participate in.” the company explains.

Expressing views on the bank’s new subsidiary, Garanti BBVA Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Garanti Payment and Electronic Money Services Inc., Murat Çağrı Süzer, said, „The world of payment systems is undergoing a rapid change with the power of technology and digitalization.
