At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sberbank presents prototype of Sbercredo P2B investment platform, a way for small and micro-sized businesses to receive non-bank financing, and signed a cooperation agreement with McDonald’s for innovation, which include opening a pilot branch of the bank combined with a McDonald’s unit.

Sberbank has presented the prototype of Sbercredo, its P2B investment platform at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Sbercredo is a sort of development institution that is focused on supporting small and medium-sized businesses in Russia. It directly connects borrowers to investors in a simple, understandable and accessible way. These platforms simplify the investment process and let companies from the above mentioned segment raise funds.
The investors on the platform are individual Sberbank clients and the borrowers are representatives of functioning small and micro-sized businesses. It offers them an alternative method of generating investment.
Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank said: “Young companies face the acute problem of obtaining financing from banks. They are only just starting to develop and don’t not have credit histories. Often they have not started turning a profit either. We strive to create products and processes that meet the highest expectations of our clients and give them new opportunities to develop.”
New partenership for innovation with McDonald’s
Under the agreement, the companies intend to develop partnership in acquiring and a number of other innovative areas such as using technical systems to analyse data, developing consumer behaviour analysis systems, speeding up bank card payments, developing a payroll project for employees, opening a pilot branch of the bank combined with a McDonald’s unit, participation of McDonald’s in the Thank You from Sberbank programme, and cooperation in socially significant areas.
Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank said: “Cooperation between Sberbank and McDonald’s will combine global opportunities and international quality standards with cutting-edge technology such as AI and big data analysis. All of this will allow us to provide innovative and highly convenient services to clients.”
