Packeta Group is changing its ownership. A Consortium of financial and private investors will become the new owners in 2024.

The Shareholders of Packeta Group, the parent company of the Czech tech-logistics company Zásilkovna, have agreed to sell a 100 % stake in the Packeta Group to a consortium of CVC Capital Partners and Emma Capital: with capital support from R2G.

„The transaction is subject to approval from relevant regulatory authorities, and its completion is expected in the first half of 2024.” according to the press release. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Packeta Group has been profitable for a long time and achieved a turnover of CZK 7.25 billion in 2023 (303,5 million euro).

The transaction process began this spring and was led by financial advisors CORPIN (representing JSK Investments) and IMAP REDBAENK (representing the remaining shareholders).

Search for a suitable investor for Packeta Group was going on throughout most of 2023 and it resulted in a significant number of bids from various financial and strategic investors, with significant interest from major international groups.

Zásilkovna, a subsidiary of the Packeta, was established in 2010 by Simona Kijonková. Since then, the company has expanded to seven European countries and employs over 2,000 people. Packeta has a network of over 15,000 own delivery pick-up points, including 6,000 automated parcel machines – Z-BOXes.

Packeta group was established under the name Zásilkovna as a Czech franchised logistic-technological project founded by entrepreneur Simona Kijonková in 2010. The shareholders of Packeta Group are JSK Investments with 48.6 %, NOTINO with 20.75 %, Lukáš Bílek with 10 %, Štěpán Chytka with 4.15 %, and Petr Vytiska with 6.5 %.

Since its establishment in 2010, the company has evolved into one of the most successful companies in the Czech Republic, providing comprehensive logistic-technological services for online stores. Packeta group expects to deliver more than 100 million parcels in 2023, achieve revenues of 7.25 billion CZK, and significantly increase its profitability. Packeta Group has a network of 15,000 pick-up points and Z-BOXes in four countries in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as to-address parcel delivery services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Packeta collaborates with more than 49,000 e-shops, primarily players in the e-commerce sector. Packeta’s mobile app, downloaded by over 8 million users, is widely used by the consumers for parcel pick-up, including Mezi námi (“Between us”) service. Between 2018 and 2023, Packeta increased its revenue with a compound annual growth rate of 64%.
