Samsung Electronics announced that it will introduce support for stablecoins in Samsung Wallet

24 iulie 2026

Samsung Electronics announced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event that Samsung Wallet plans to introduce support for stablecoins, integrating payments, rewards, and digital assets into a unified service, according to ChainCatcher. Samsung stated that this will be one of the first models among major mobile phone brands to natively support stablecoins.

Samsung Wallet has expanded from a payment tool into a digital hub that can store keys, ID cards, and boarding passes. The event also saw the launch of the first financial service based on Samsung Wallet—the Samsung Galaxy Card—launching in the US in partnership with Barclays and Visa. Samsung claims its Knox security platform protects sensitive information with end-to-end encryption.
