The fast development on the local market accelerates the rebranding of Coletăria.ro in Romania. The company will take over the Packeta name.

29 iulie 2021

The investment budget in Romania increases from 2 to 3 million euro. The company announces a doubling of the number of employees in 2021.

This autumn, Coletăria.ro takes over the name Packeta, the international group of which it is part and which has the largest network of pick-up points in Central and Eastern Europe (over 7,200 pick-up points), thus consolidating its leader position in the market of pick-up points delivery services and Cross Border deliveries. At the same time, the company increases by at least 50% the local investment budget, thus supplementing to 3 million euro the value of investments allocated in 2021 for the Romanian market.

Changing of the brand name came as a natural step, following the accelerated evolution registered by Coletăria.ro in the last years. Customers will recognize us quickly and clearly when shopping at any online store around the world. At the same time, a single brand, Packeta, will allow us to take advantage of the synergistic effect of marketing cooperation with other countries„, says Alexandr Jeleascov, CEO of Coletăria.ro, mentioning that, in 2020, Coletăria.ro registered a turnover of 4.5 million euro, in the first quarter of 2021 already exceeding the threshold of 40% compared to last year’s turnover.

The completion of the rebranding process also aims at aligning the services provided in all the countries where the company is present, which will be done gradually, considering the socio-economic development factors of each country.

Romania is on an upward trend of growth from an economic point of view, which will lead to faster implementations of new services and delivery methods provided by the Packeta Group in other countries. With the unification of the name of the entire group in Europe, we will benefit more easily from the technological infrastructure of the platform and the mobile applications used by the group, from new implementations of logistics and transport services already used successfully in other countries„, says Alexandr Jeleascov.

Thus, locally, the company will accelerate development in the following directions: extension of the pick-up points network, new warehouses, increasing the number of B2B customers, opening new foreign markets for Cross Border deliveries and partnerships development in the B2B eCommerce segments, partnerships for extending the network of pick-up points and partnerships with new internal and external carriers.

Increasing the number of employees is another priority of the company, a process that will accelerate after completing the rebranding process.

During 2020, the company has increased 4 times the number of employees, and for 2021 it aims to increase the team with 40 new employees, to over 80 employees, depending on the evolution of the business.

Thus, in the next period, the company aims to strengthen the team in the South and West of Romania. Specifically, it aims to hire in the logistics, customer service, sales and marketing segments, aiming at developing teams in the areas of processing and handling packages and their specialization on types of services offered, increasing response capacity in the area of customer service, accelerating enrolment of online stores and sellers in Romania by increasing sales capacity.

The Packeta Group aims for 2021 a turnover of 204 million euro and 70 million parcels shipped, with a total value estimated at about 3 billion euro. The company also estimates an increase in the number of pick-up points to 9,000 (5,000 in the Czech Republic). The increase in the total number of deposits will correspond to the development plans of the whole group. There will be a total of 43 warehouses with a total area of 100,000 square meters.
