Spain: Getnet transforms Grupo Pascual’s delivery mobiles into full POS terminals

Get Tap on Phone solution turns Pascual delivery drivers’ mobile phones into multifunction payment terminals, eliminating hardware and improving logistical efficiency.

Getnet, the leading fintech provider of payment solutions in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, and part of Santander Group, has taken another step towards the digitalization of mobile payments by integrating its Get Tap on Phone technology with Grupo Pascual, a leading player in Spain’s food sector.

„Thanks to this collaboration, Grupo Pascual’s delivery drivers can now use their Android devices as fully-fledged point-of-sale (POS) terminals, managing orders and processing card payments without the need for additional hardware such as card readers, printers, or tablets.” – according to the press release.

Currently deployed in Madrid, the solution is gradually expanding nationwide and integrates Getnet’s app with Mobentis’ Sales & Delivery management platform, which is used by Grupo Pascual’s distributor Qualianza.

„We’re seeing a great market response to our proposal of turning mobile devices and tablets into complete POS terminal. This case study shows that the technology is scalable and secure, offering value to both large companies and SMEs or certain industries” – said Rubén Justel, CEO Getnet Europe.

The implementation of Get Tap on Phone clearly addresses the need to reduce the complexity and human error in delivery and payment processes. Previously, Pascual’s drivers had to use up to four different devices. Today, everything is centralized in a single terminal, enabling:

. Contactless card payments can be made directly from the mobile device.

. Automatic payment reconciliation, removing the need for manual intervention.

. Elimination of human error when entering amounts.

. Faster deliveries and a smoother customer experience.

. Digital receipts can be sent vía email or QR code.

Get Tap on Phone solution complies with international security standards, relating to secure PIN capture, and is already being used by businesses in different sectors, including hospitality, distribution and logistics.
