RoPay, the Romanian instant mobile payment solution developed by TRANSFOND, has officially joined EMPSA European Mobile Payment Systems Association — a community that unites the most prominent national mobile payment systems across Europe.
„This achievement reflects our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and European interoperability. Joining EMPSA European Mobile Payment Systems Association represents more than an affiliation — it is a strategic step toward a borderless digital Europe, where every citizen can enjoy secure, instant, and seamless payments, anywhere on the continent.” – said Raluca Nita, Head of Marketing and Communication at Transfond.
By working alongside our EMPSA European Mobile Payment Systems Association partners, RoPay will actively contribute to developing shared European frameworks for mobile and cross-border payments, fostering technological interoperability and standardization, and strengthening Europe’s digital sovereignty and financial resilience.
Raluca Nita added: „Through this partnership, we aim to ensure that Romania plays an active role in shaping the future of European payments, bringing our expertise in instant payment infrastructure to the table. At RoPay and TRANSFOND, we believe that collaboration is the key to a smarter, stronger, and more connected Europe — one where technology unites rather than divides, and where innovation drives inclusion and trust.„
