Initiated in 2008 with an alliance of banks, retailers and manufacturers, the Natural Security standard defines an authentication method that can be used wherever a transaction takes place.
Natural Security is an innovative mobile service designed to enhance the security of face to face and online transactions, enabling users to securely authenticate to any service providers such as banks, merchants, etc. The solution combines user’s biometrics and a smartphone app (iOS / Android) to offer a simple, fast and secure experience, according to Natural Security Alliance specifications.
Natural Security Alliance will be represented at international fintech conference Banking 4.0 by Pierre Antonio, which is the Head of Marketing Advisory Committee of the Natural Security Alliance, a non-profit organisation, partner of Oney Romania regarding biometric innovative payments. He joined Natural Security in 2011.
Pierre has over twenty years of experience in the card industry. His career started in the ATM business unit of Bull CP8, after which he held several positions as a consultant (project management or marketing) for various major companies in different area: banks, retailers, MNO, vendors.
He is also the CEO of Trust Designer, (a member of Natural Security Alliance), a French company who is present in Romania. At the end of the last year, Oney Romania’s customers tested the Natural Security Romania application in their Auchan store in Bucharest.
For customers, the buying experience is simplified. The cashier first scans the products of the online cashier and then issues a ticket with a bar code. The customer then scans the bar code on the terminal and places his finger on the biometric sensor to complete the transaction. Like deployments in France, no manipulation of the smartphone is necessary for authentication. Bluetooth communication allows the smartphone to exchange data remotely and securely through the integration of our SDK.
For users who do not have a compatible smartphone, Trust Designer have developed an alternative to biometrics with the QRcode. The company has developed, for the account of Natural Security, the mobile application and the 5 biometric readers installed on the payment terminals of the store.
