Moneymailme, a product of the Modex Fintech Division, was officially launched in 2016 in Washington by the Romanian entrepreneur Mihai Ivascu, as a chatting app that combines the social interaction with sending and receiving money from your mobile phone, in a fast and secure way, in what has been termed “social money”. A year later, the company claims to be launching the world’s first video call with money transfers. Now the app will be shut down. The announcement was made through an official statement published on the Moneymailme website.

Dear Moneymailme user,


We are sorry to inform you that on 10 February 2023, the Moneymailme application will be taken down from the App Store and Google Play.

As a user of Moneymailme, you have an account opened with MANGOPAY[1] in which the funds you have received from your activity on the Moneymailme platform are deposited. These sums are held on your behalf, by MANGOPAY.

Please empty your account balance as soon as possible, but not later than 10 February 2023. If your wallet is with funds, MANGOPAY will perform payouts to your bank account. To do so, it is mandatory to be KYC-validated and have a registered bank account therefore please go through the requested KYC validation process. Please make sure you upgrade your account such that you are a Standard user (tap on Upgrade to Standard below your profile picture) and add a valid IBAN (tap on More, Withdraw, Bank Account).

Once the Moneymailme application is shut down, if your wallet is not emptied, you will have to contact directly MANGOPAY in order to start the process of recovering your funds. We strongly encourage you to empty your account while our application is still available.

Please be informed that Moneymailme is GDPR compliant and any and all your personal data Moneymailme might have access to in the present will be erased by Moneymailme once the application will shut down.
