The founders of the award winning social payments app Moneymailme created the world’s first app store for blockchain — Modex — and are announcing the inauguration of Modex Blockchain Labs in Bucharest — a hub where programmers and developers are always welcomed free of charge.
Following the opening of Modex Blockchain Labs, Modex team announces that it will organize and host a series of hackathons, the first event being scheduled on 16th of June in Bucharest. Developers who manage to stand out at these events will have the opportunity to join the Modex development team, through an innovating recruiting program.
„Following the blockchain paradigm, we integrated a new functionality in Modex UDE (unified developer environment) — bounty. Its goal is to decentralize developers’ participation at Modex hackathons, allowing programmers from around the world to attend. We are aware that there are many talented programmers in Bucharest, but we also strive, in the initial stages, to make these hackathons available for the whole country. After we successfully complete this initial stage, we will be ready to reach out to the whole world’ said Vali Malinoiu, Head of Blockchain innovation at Modex.
More about the innovative bounty system here.
Modex is a marketplace for decentralized apps, built to bring the advantages of blockchain technology in day to day activities, by connecting developers with potential clients. Modex functions as a technological liaison between developers and beneficiaries, offering quick and easy access to smart contract implementation.
Modex has one objective, to provide globally a portfolio of diverse app, all of them based on the groundbreaking blockchain technology. To achieve this goal Modex will bridge the gap between developers proficient in decentralized apps (DApps) and companies who wish to optimize their business by implementing innovative smart contract solutions.
Distributed ledger technology — Blockchain — gains more and more traction as numerous spheres of activity are researching how they can streamline operations through smart contract implementation. By making DApps available online, Modex aims to spearhead widespread blockchain adoption, allowing companies to implement innovative solutions, without the need for specific technical knowledge.
If developers can sell solutions thorough Modex marketplace, companies will be able to purchase them directly from the marketplace, or submit a request for a custom app, specially tailored to suit their needs through the new bounty functionality, which will be launched by Modex this month.
Modex CEO and Founder, Mihai Ivascu stated that „the innovation behind blockchain technology lies in its versatility, which enables it to be implemented across various industries such as healthcare, voting, database management, finance and much more. Blockchain technology also eliminates the need for intermediaries, allowing for transparent transactions at speeds that were considered impossible. For instance, a contract on a blockchain network is impossible to alter and renders intermediaries obsolete.”
„Through Modex Marketplace, we provide the market with the infrastructure needed to integrate the benefits of blockchain technology with applications that solve real-life problems. We are excited that after a year of development, we are ready to launch the platform, and deliver technical solutions for companies from various spheres of activity.” added Ivascu.
Designed to function as a hub for blockchain solutions, Modex Marketplace was started by a team of Romanian programmers, but as time passed, more people saw the potential of this project and joined the team. Now Modex has offices all over the world, in London, Gibraltar, Monaco and Bucharest and is composed of specialists from tech industry giants like Oracle, Temenos, Microsoft and Google.
Moreover, Modex was the subject of a case study conducted by tech giant Google. Focusing on the market demand for smart contracts, the study concluded that Modex represents a revolutionary solution for promoting widespread blockchain adoption across various industries.
