Social media platform Meta (Facebook) has announced a new chat shortcut for Messenger users designed to smooth internal payments. The feature is one of the many shortcuts recently welcomed on Messenger, a new command system that will boost messaging efficiency and increase utility.
The /Pay feature on Messenger is settled to be launched in April-May 2022 and will only be available for Android and iOS devices in the US, according to The Paypers.
The /Pay shortcut allows Messenger users to easily send and receive funds in private or one-on-one conversations. The payments benefit from Meta’s latest security features and will be processed in real time, without fees, similar to other instant cash apps like Venmo or Revolut.
