Mariana Chindris, the former head of digital transformation, CTO and COO at Banca Transilvania, is the new Director of Technology at Zipper Romania

Mariana Chindris is a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the banking industry. She brings extensive expertise in general management, business development and delivery, team motivation and leadership, as well as both general and technical project management.

Between December 2022 and December 2025, she served as Executive Director of Operations at Banca Transilvania. Prior to this role, she held the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for three years.

A Senior MBA graduate, Mariana has strong competencies in needs assessment and strategic planning. She is recognized for her ability to inspire teams to achieve their full potential and for ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives. Before becoming CTO, she led Banca Transilvania’s Digital Transformation Office for three years, where she successfully designed and implemented major transformational projects within the bank.
