Intesa SanPaolo raises €250 mil. for new VC fund

Neva Sgr has successfully completed the fundraising of € 250 million for its Neva First Fund and announces the launch of a new larger Fund for 2024, according to a press release.

Neva Sgr is a company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group 100% controlled by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and, since August 2020, has invested in 26 companies for a total allocated of approximately € 150 million.

Among the major investments of the Neva First fund , those in: R3, Yolo, MatiPay, D-Orbit, iwoca, Diamanti, vFunction, blubrake, Jumple, TechStars, Rocket Internet Capital Partner I & II, Endeavor Catalyst III, Classiq, Seed- X, Cyberint, Coro, and finally, Tr1X .

Furthermore, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center , in collaboration with Neva Sgr, will launch the SEI Fund – Development of Innovation Ecosystems – to support the growth of the Italian innovation ecosystem with an initial endowment of € 15 million, fully subscribed by Intesa Sanpaolo.

These announcements were made at the “Venture Capital: protagonists, growth and projects of Neva Sgr” event organized in Turin by Neva Sgr, which hosted over 500 attendees including venture capitalists, institutional investors, private clients, entrepreneurs and start-ups.
