Georg Hauer, general manager Dutch and Northern Europe at N26, announced on his linkedin account that ING is closing the entire retail business in Austria.
Moreover, the N26 official takes the opportunity to invite ING employees to consider a new career in the new TechHub that the company is trying to build.
Here’s what the message looks like:
„Dear ING Austria team,
We’re sorry to hear that ING is closing its entire retail business in Austria with 340 employees being affected. But after the rain, there will be sunshine. New opportunities are waiting for you. 😊 N26 is investing heavily in the Austrian market and we’re currently building a global TechHub for up to 300 people based in Vienna with focus on software engineering, product management and product design. We’ve just recently doubled the office space. Fun fact: Our offices are on the same street! Hence, we’d love to get to know you and maybe offer you a new home! 🚀
You can find all open positions at n26.com/careers (many more to come). Additionally, we have 300+ roles open at our HQ in Berlin. If you’re currently working at ING Austria and have questions, please feel free to reach out to me personally via LinkedIn. (that offer is really only for ING employees, sorry!)
Please share this message with your ING colleagues.”
Banking 4.0 – „how was the experience for you”
„So many people are coming here to Bucharest, people that I see and interact on linkedin and now I get the change to meet them in person. It was like being to the Football World Cup but this was the World Cup on linkedin in payments and open banking.”
