„This is the first launch of technology based on the Visa Direct platform not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the world.” – according to the press release.
Even now, the Bank’s clients will be able to use such services as „Transfer Request” and „Account Section”. The user can request the amount or split the account in the Bank’s mobile application – My RBK.
At the same time, persons receiving requests for a transfer or section of a check can be clients not only of Bank RBK, but also of other banks.
“We are constantly improving and expanding the functionality of the My RBK mobile application, trying to provide it with all the services that our customers may need. We are sure that the new features aimed at simplifying payments between users will appeal to Bank RBK customers, since in everyday life we all constantly encounter situations in which we make collective purchases or pay joint bills. Now it will be much more convenient to do this,” commented Natalya Akentyeva, Chairman of the Board of Bank RBK, commenting on the innovation.
“In recent years, there has been a boom in the development of non-cash payments in Kazakhstan. On the one hand, this is due to the high-quality and rapid development of technologies that financial institutions are implementing together with Visa. On the other hand, the readiness of both consumers and businesses for new digital services of a cashless economy. And I am very glad that together with Bank RBK we are introducing new convenient payment services based on Request to Pay technology – this is the first such launch using the Visa Direct platform not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the world. Now it will be even more convenient and faster to split the bill for coffee, lunch or joint purchases,” emphasizes Vera Platonova, Visa Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Ukraine, Georgia, the CIS and Southeast Europe.
