With ‘Tikkie Zakelijk’, which translates as Tikkie Business, ABN AMRO offers companies a dedicated app they can use to create and send ‘Tikkies’ (payment requests) to their customers and get paid quickly and easily. The new app provides business owners real-time insight into the status of all their payments,” according to a press release.
Tikkie Zakelijk emerged thanks to the rapid growth in the number of business users of Tikkie, which has already topped 25,000.
„The new Tikkie Zakelijk app makes it even easier for businesses to send Tikkies quickly and easily. Businesses can send their payment requests to their customers instantly via WhatsApp, text message, email or a QR code. While a consumer-to-consumer Tikkie payment is around €30 on average, a business Tikkie averages about €80. The upper limit for businesses is €50,000. There are even dealerships that sell cars using Tikkie.” – the bank explains.
The new app meets the needs of a vast range of businesses, especially SMEs and sole traders. The business clients are a very diverse group that includes window cleaners, mechanics, cheese shops, childcare centres and accounting services, though companies like Dekamarkt, DHL and BUX also use Tikkie. “The key advantage of Tikkie Zakelijk compared to other payment methods – like sending invoices – is that payments are made very quickly,” says Moreno Kensmil, Tikkie’s Head of Marketing. “A whopping 80% of business Tikkies are paid within 24 hours. This is mainly due to the convenience factor: customers do not have to enter invoice details and can pay using a direct link. On top of that, a lot of users have become accustomed to the speed of Tikkie payments after using Tikkie in their private lives.”
One business owner using Tikkie for business purposes is Sam Hilhorst, owner of window cleaning service Hilhorst glasbewassing. Hilhorst explains, “I have been using Tikkie for over a year. My invoices are now paid much faster thanks to Tikkie, and I no longer have a bundle of cash to worry about. Some of my customers tell me that Tikkie is convenient for them, too, not having to enter any information from an invoice. It is also convenient for my staff, because they can easily see who has and who hasn’t paid, and everyone can use it. In short, I am very happy with it. I am a satisfied user!’
Since Tikkie was launched, business use has grown fast. With the new Tikkie Zakelijk app for businesses, Tikkie is taking this success to a higher level. “We expect that we can make payments even easier with our new Tikkie Zakelijk app. Since the launch of the functionality under the same name, we have reached tens of thousands of business users,” says Kensmil. “We are proud that many Dutch companies have discovered Tikkie, and the launch of this app is splendid proof of the further growth and development of Tikkie.”
