A first for France: Orange launches subscription bill payment via Wero

Orange is now offering its Sosh customers an additional, simple, fast and secure way to pay their subscription bills with Wero, the European payment solution. Wero has already been adopted by nearly 40 million users in France and more than 58 million across Europe. 

„Orange is the first merchant in France to offer subscription bill payment with Wero, a solution developed by the European Payments Initiative (EPI) and initially designed for payments between individuals. Wero enables Sosh customers to pay their bill from the banking app they use every day. They simply select Wero and confirm their payment.” – according to the press release.

This service is initially available to customers of BNP Paribas and will gradually expand to new French banking institutions during the second half of 2026.
