Personetics partners Plaid to bring open finance intel to financial institutions

19 august 2026

By combining Plaid’s open finance connectivity with Personetics’ AI-driven personalization, the two companies are giving banks and credit unions a more complete way to understand their customers and act on that understanding through personalized experiences within the primary account relationship.

Banks have always served their customers. But they’ve only ever seen a part of their financial picture. Accounts held elsewhere, liabilities at other institutions, savings and investments flowing through other channels, none of it visible in the moment that matters most.

„With Plaid’s open finance connectivity embedded directly into Personetics, customers are prompted by an in-app insight to connect their external accounts. Once linked, that data is ingested and combined with on-us transaction intelligence to generate a 360-degree view of each customer’s financial life, delivered as personalized insights within the bank’s own digital experience, rather than in a separate tool.” – the company said

From Connected Data to Personalized Action
Connected data is only valuable when it drives action. Personetics said that turns every open finance signal into something a customer can act on: consolidate debt, save more, avoid a fee, capture a transfer, all delivered within the bank’s existing digital experience at the right moment. Through the Engagement Builder, banks can design and launch their own custom insights, triggers, and personalized journeys using Plaid data, without building AI models from scratch. Every action flows back into analytics, creating a closed loop from connected account data to measurable deposit growth and share of wallet.

Win Account Primacy, Before a Competitor Does

The bank that holds a customer’s direct deposit wins ten times the lifetime value of one that doesn’t. But most institutions are competing for primacy with an incomplete picture, and the customers most at risk of moving their money elsewhere are often invisible until they’ve already left. „The Personetics and Plaid integration surfaces the signals that matter: external funds moving in patterns suggesting readiness to switch, liabilities at other institutions, and savings habits that point to an unmet need. Banks can act on these signals by delivering contextual, personalized offers at the moment when each customer is most likely to respond. The outcomes follow: deposits retained, primacy reinforced, and new openings for cross-sell as a fuller financial picture comes into view.” – the company explained.

Banks and credit unions have spent years trying to earn a bigger share of their customers’ financial lives, and open banking finally gives them a real way to do it,said Udi Ziv, CEO of Personetics. “When we can bring in data from accounts a customer holds elsewhere, we can surface insights that reflect their full financial picture and help them take smarter action based on it, not just what’s sitting in one account. That’s what builds primacy over time, and it’s why we see this as such a natural fit with Plaid.

Financial institutions want to serve the whole customer via their own digital platforms. Historically, customers couldn’t stay within those platforms and get a 360º view of their finances through a purpose-built UX,” said Adam Yoxtheimer, Head of Partnerships at Plaid. “That’s why we are excited to partner with Personetics, who have designed experiences that live within those platforms, enabling financial institutions to identify opportunities and take action across their customers’ financial lives, not just what flows through a single account.
