BLIK Recurring and BLIK Pay Later via Solidgate: more ways to get paid in Poland

17 august 2026

Solidgate merchants in Poland can now offer BLIK Recurring and BLIK Pay Later, opening up subscription revenue and higher-value orders inside the setup they already run.

Around half of Poland’s online purchases run through BLIK. More than 21 million people use it regularly, and for most Polish shoppers it’s the default way to pay online.

„For merchants, that makes strong BLIK coverage essential to competing in one of Europe’s fastest-growing e-commerce markets. And that’s why we’ve added BLIK Recurring and BLIK Pay Later, giving your Polish checkout more ways to convert inside your existing setup.” – the company said in a press release.

BLIK – the engine driving Poland’s e-commerce growth

BLIK is Poland’s dominant account-to-account mobile payment system. Instead of entering card details, customers confirm payments straight from their banking app with a 6-digit code – no redirect friction, no stored card data.

BLIK is built into virtually every Polish bank’s app, so almost everyone can use it, which is how it became the default way people pay in Poland – online, in store, and to each other.

That dominance is what makes the Polish market so accessible. Polish e-commerce is one of the fastest-growing in Europe, and BLIK is the rail carrying that growth – increasingly through its newer recurring and deferred flows.

BLIK in numbers:

. 2.9B+ transactions in 2025, worth PLN 441.5B (about €104.9B)

. 21M+ active users

. +440% YoY growth in BLIK Pay Later

. 1.6M recurring transactions

. PLN 250 average BLIK Pay Later basket vs. PLN 160 for regular online BLIK

More flexibility inside one setup

Solidgate already supports one-time payments with BLIK. We’ve added BLIK Recurring and BLIK Pay Later to the same setup – no separate provider, no new checkout to build. So you can meet the recurring and deferred demand Polish customers already have.

➡️ BLIK Recurring covers subscription and auto-charge models. The customer enters a BLIK code once to set up the mandate, and all future charges run automatically – variable amounts and frequency, no re-authentication required per cycle.

➡️ BLIK Pay Later lets customers defer payment by up to 30 days, confirmed with a BLIK code via their banking app. Merchants receive funds upfront, and integration is backend-only.

How BLIK grows your revenue in Poland

. Near-universal coverage. BLIK works for almost anyone with a Polish bank account and a phone, covering the vast majority of the market.

. Fewer drop-offs at checkout. Customers confirm with a short code in their banking app – no card numbers, no typing. The less friction, the more who complete the purchase.

. Higher order value. Shoppers tend to spend more when they can defer, so Pay Later lifts your average basket. And you’re paid upfront – the deferral sits with BLIK, not you.

. Fewer failed renewals. Recurring charges don’t depend on the customer showing up to confirm each one, so more renewals go through and less revenue slips away to churn.
