The digital bank with more than two million customers in Greece has established Revolut Greece, a branch of Revolut Bank UAB in the country.
The Bank of Greece has successfully completed the assessment of Revolut Bank UAB’s application to establish a branch in Greece. Having now secured all the required approvals, Revolut Bank UAB has established its Greek branch in Greece and in the coming months intends to offer a Greek IBAN (GR IBAN), while in the future it plans to make additional banking products available.
The new General Manager, Vasilis Ameranis, will oversee the next phase of the digital bank’s development in Greece, leading a local team, consisting of experienced executives returning to Greece after professional careers abroad, as well as talented professionals from the domestic market. With over ten years of experience in banking, strategy and digital innovation, Ameranis held management positions at the National Bank of Greece, and previously worked for several years at McKinsey & Company.
