Klarna, the global digital bank and payment service, „will soon be available through Swedbank Pay, giving its established network of merchants in the Nordics access to Klarna” – according to the press release.
„By adding Klarna, Swedbank Pay’s merchants will gain access to one of the most in-demand payment methods in the Nordics, while Klarna’s reach expands in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.” – the company said.
“Swedbank Pay has built one of the strongest merchant networks in the Nordics, and this integration gives us the reach to grow in markets that matter greatly to us. We look forward to offering more Nordic merchants and their customers a flexible way to pay,” says David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna.
Klarna’s payment options are designed to give consumers more control over how they pay — with clear terms, no hidden fees, and popular services for responsible consumption. Klarna will become available to Swedbank Pay’s merchants in Sweden later this year, and in Norway, Denmark, and Finland starting in early 2027.
