Revolut Business launches merchant acquiring product in Australia

5 februarie 2026

Australian businesses can now accept, settle and manage online, account-to-account and in-person payments, in a single ecosystem alongside their core business account. Merchants can benefit from industry-leading processing fees from 0.5%, and payment tools such as Revolut Pay and Revolut Terminal

Revolut Business, the global financial technology platform with hundreds of thousands of business customers, announced the launch of a full‑suite 360 merchant acquiring product in Australia – „the first in the market to integrate account-to-account, online and in-person payments directly within a core business account” – according to the press release.

The launch follows a new survey by Revolut in partnership with YouGov that unveiled 83% of Australian business owners report finance and admin as the most time consuming area of business operations, with the top preferred use of time being spending time with their kids.

„The launch will enable businesses to manage their entire payments operation from a single platform, eliminating the need for multiple third‑party providers, saving businesses time and creating a seamless user experience. The launch offers businesses processing fees starting from 0.5% per transaction – supported by 99.99% uptime, and direct access to Revolut’s global retail network of over 70 million customers.” the company explained.

A unified platform for banking and payments

Traditional acquiring solutions rely on a fragmented system of multiple third-party providers. Revolut Business is consolidating this offering in a first for the market, with 24 hour payment settlement including weekends, and the ability to hold and settle funds in 30+ currencies, limiting unnecessary exchange fees.

Revolut Business’ merchant acquiring suite is launching with online and in-person tools to suit SMEs and large enterprises. It starts with Tap to Pay on iPhone for users operating on a smaller scale, to Revolut Terminal, a powerful all-in-one payments terminal designed for constant connectivity for businesses requiring more payment processing power.

Merchants will also have the option to integrate Revolut Pay into their online checkouts, a streamlined and secure one-click account-to-account checkout solution. Businesses will be able to accept all types of online payments including those made via Apple Pay and Google Pay via API, payment links, and invoices.

In the last 12 months, Revolut Business has grown exponentially in Australia with a 235% uplift in monthly transaction volumes.

James Roberts-Thomson, Head of Revolut Business Australia, said: “We’re thrilled to continue building on the success of Revolut Business in Australia. This launch marks a genuine step‑change in how Australian businesses can manage payments. Revolut Business exists to redefine what’s possible for business banking — replacing complexity with clarity, high fees with fairness, and slow systems with global innovation. 83% of Australian businesses have said they want to save time processing finance admin – we’re here to offer them the ease and control they deserve.

With Australians making 1.3 billion card payments a month worth A$90 billion, Revolut Business’ new payment acquiring suite simplifies how money moves between consumers and businesses, securely and in one place.
