The 10th edition of the Banking 4.0 international conference will take place at the Sinaia casino on November 27-28. The main partner of the event is Worldline, the largest payment processor in Europe.

This year’s theme, „From Tech-Centric to Human-Centric: Conversational Banking in the Digital Time,” aims to explore how we can shift the focus from technology alone to technology that enhances human interactions. As the digital landscape reshapes sectors with advancements in AI, robotics, and quantum computing, the enduring power of human connection remains central to business success.

Over 300 experts from 25 countries are expected to analyze the impact of „human touch” and the role of banking conversation in the future development of the financial and payment services industry.

It is the first time that the impact of emerging technologies is not only evaluated by banking or fintech experts, but also by communication experts, sociologists, anthropologists and even „creatives” in advertising agencies. The message built by the latter determines the success or failure of a product.

The panel discussions aim to provide answers to the question of how to increase trust in banks, without stopping the digital transformation process. And it all starts with digital identity.

In an era marked by rapid technological advancements, the financial services industry finds itself on the precipice of a transformative shift: the emergence of digital identities. As traditional bricks-and-mortar banking now exists alongside seamless online experiences, the concept of digital identity is gaining ever greater significance. The emergence of digital identity solutions has revolutionized how individuals access financial services, conduct transactions, and manage their finances.

This is why Nic Balaceanu, board member of Rofin.Tech and Banking 4.0, the co-founder of sunt.io, and the one who launched the most popular Romanian app on credit score (downloaded by more than 1 milion users), believes that you can’t do much without digital identity.

You can’t do banking, you can’t even get paid without a digital identity.” – he said. „So come to Sinaia and learn more about digital identity and how the future is going to use it in your favor.

The event will be attended by the 10 largest credit institutions in the local banking system, the first five of them being partners of the event. The list will be completed by a number of innovative banks from Europe and Asia, awarded for their performance in the digital transformation process. The interest in participation has always been aroused and maintained by the case studies and innovative fintech solutions that Banking 4.0 has promoted over time. This edition will be no exception.

Here is what Alex Panican, Deputy CEO at LHoFT (Luxembourg’s Fintech Innovation Hub) has to say in this regard:

Banking 4.0 has always offered an excellent quality of speakers and extremely dynamic and attractive panels despite the themes that are most of the time avant-garde. But perhaps much more was appreciated the fact that at the event they not only talk about business, but also do business. Participants manage to obtain contracts or conclude partnerships. Eliad Saporta, CEO of Coriunder, an Israeli fintech selected for the Pitch Competition Grand Final at the Mastercard Central European Fintech Forum 2024, testifies:
