This year, the Banking 4.0 – Spring edition, dedicated to the impact of blockchain technology in the new digital economy, will be opened by Sebastian Burduja, Minister of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization.
Recently, Minister Burduja was present at the launch of nft.ici.ro, the first European institutional platform for trading digital assets, which manages NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and operates on the basis of decentralized Blockchain and web 3.0 technologies.
On this occasion, he declared the following:
„Romania is positioned in the vanguard of the states that adopt new technologies. (…) Six months ago, the Romanian Post launched the first collection of NFTs of a state company, and I think it was a European first. I am glad that today we have a platform for such projects.„
He continued about what was to come: „At this moment we are at the beginning of a digital revolution in Romania. We have a law for the cloud, which did not exist a year ago, we have a law for security and cyber defense, which did not exist a year ago. We are working on two normative acts through which we prepare the ground for what MiCA means – the European regulation related to the blockchain area.”
