PayEye has signed a cooperation agreement with Komputronik, one of the sales leaders in the technology market, which was the first nationwide retail chain to decide to introduce a new service for its customers – pay with a glance. The first points of sale equipped with eyePOS 2.0 are already waiting for customers in Wrocław.
„Until recently, the ability to read data from the iris of the eye was only found in science fiction movies. Today, thanks to the eyePOS terminal, the technology is delivered to the Komputronik showroom in Wrocław! After the pilot program has been carried out, the possibility of paying with the PayEye look will also appear in other Komputronik stores.” – according to the press release.
„Just like a standard reader recognizes you by presenting your payment card, the eyePOS 2.0 terminal will compare the appearance of your eye iris and face with the information stored in the database. Previously, we have to connect our payment card to PayEye – using a free downloadable application for iOS and Android.” the company explains.
When using this functionality, you do not need to take a wallet or a payment card with you. You will pay for your purchases when you approach the PayEye terminal.
From October 15, the biometric iris scanner will be available at the Komputronik store in Wrocław at the Korona Shopping Center . There you will find the eyePOS terminal. People who have set up an account in the PayEye application can use this form of payment and pay for their purchases in the Komputronik store.
The company alsso announced that, in November, „we will also introduce pay-as-you-go payments” in the Komputronik store at CH Magnolia in Wrocław.
