Visa is providing updates specific to impacts on the payments landscape and Visa’s clients stemming from its suspension of its Russia operations.

„Please be advised that Visa is suspending operations in Russia. On Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. Moscow time (March 9, 2022, 1pm PST), Visa will block all issuing and acquiring associated with all Russian members,” according to the press release


„While the suspension is effective on March 10, 2022, there will be a wind-down period to allow for processes such as collection of fees and resolution of chargebacks and disputes. The wind-down period may be limited in some cases to comply with applicable laws, including any applicable sanctions,” Visa explains.
