BBVA app lets Spanish customers see products from other providers

26 septembrie 2018

BBVA customers in Spain can now use the bank’s mobile app to view a host of products held with other providers, according to finextra.com.

Earlier this year the bank opened its app to accounts and cards from other financial services providers, enabling customers to see information on these products within its Bconomy financial health diagnosis tool.

Now, customers can also add investment funds, pension plans, deposits, securities and mortgage and consumer finance products.

Users simply click on the „your other banks” option within the BBVA app and add products, which are then automatically downloaded and included in Bconomy, which gives customers a picture of their financial health and then offers a made-to-measure plan for improving it.

Currently, the feature allows users to check balances and movements of products but BBVA notes that from next year regulations will open up the possibility of actually operating between different products within the BBVA app.

Next year, customers will also be able to select and configure only the products they want to see and access the planned movements of the products they have with other providers.

In addition, Bconomy will incorporate sociodemographic data, enabling users to compare their spending with that of people with similar profiles in terms of age, sex, salary and zip code.
